The iTrail GPS Data Logger is a "passive" or "historical" GPS tracking device. Rather than transmit live information about it's position, the GPS data is saved to the device, so that the user can later retrieve it and view the information.
Because this is a historical data device, rather than a live tracker, there are no monthly fees or costs.
With the included extended battery kit, you can extend the battery life up to 90 total hours of driving time. So if you drive an hour a day, the battery would last approximately 90 days.
This type of historical GPS logging is perfect for those who want a record of where their vehicle (or a person) has been, but don't need that information transmitted live or in real-time, like our live GPS tracking devices.
